When a post is longer than a platform allows, Poster shortens it at a sentence or word boundary for that platform only and shows the result in the preview.
How to connect Telegram
- In Telegram, create a bot with @BotFather and copy its token.
- Add the bot to your channel as an administrator allowed to post.
- In Poster, open Platforms → Telegram, enter the channel and the bot token.
Tips for Telegram
- With photos, Telegram limits the caption to 1,024 characters. Poster shortens it for Telegram only and shows you where.
- A bot can delete a post only within 48 hours — after that, delete it in Telegram.
